What is it that you want to become?

If you could do just one thing for the rest of your life that could give you a personal sense of purpose, what would it be?

I think a lot of people fail their goals because they don’t know what they’re aiming at, they’re using poorly defined parameters such as ‘get rich’ or ‘be happy’. I think we need to be a little more specific, what dream in life is worth chasing that it makes all the suffering worth it?

That’s a character trait that I love about Roy Mustang from FullMetal Alchemist. He’s clear about his goal and he knows exactly what it is he wants to attain; the title of Führer. Not only is he clear about it but he's doing it for the right reasons; he knows he can make his corner of the world better by achieving his goal.

At MCM Expo Birmingham me and Dr Whero Photography had the opportunity to recreate this iconic scene from the FMA Brotherhood anime in the below photo, I think it personifies Mustang so well. A fire so ferocious and focussed that it burns up everything in its way.

If you know exactly what you want and you can remain focussed and driven, that’s deadly. It’s practically a super power. If you don't know, then try and figure it out like your life depends on it.
